Reading Nooks

So, as I mentioned in my previous post I have been OBSESSED with Pinterest. My neighbor got me into it when she decided to use it to plan my birthday party this past year. After that, I became hooked.

If you don't know what Pinterest is, it's a social media site where you can "pin" photos to "boards" and create different boards with various themes. For example, if you're planning a black & white penguin themed party (yes, that was the theme of my birthday party this year ;P) then you can create a board and pin photos or links with ideas that pertain to that board. So the board that we made for my birthday party had a lot of pictures of penguins, recipes for appetizers, ideas for photo backdrops, etc.

One of the boards that I have on my Pinterest is titled "Home Decor." I found that I have been pinning a lot of photos of reading nook areas. I LOVE to read and wish I had/made more time to read for leisure. I also find that I love having a designated area where I can read without any sort of distractions. In one of the apartments I used to live in before I moved back home with my parents, I had a loft. I LOVED it because I kept it very simple with a nice chair and ottoman, a reading lamp, a small desk, and a bookshelf. It was nice and secluded enough that I could have "me time" or read without too many distractions and yet still be present in the apartment (if that makes any sense).

Here are a few reading nooks that I found and pinned to my "Home Decor" board.
